Dr. Erianne Weight, Professor for Sport Administration at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Plenty of Positivity with Courtney Beck welcomes Dr. Erianne Weight!
Dr. Erianne Weight is a professor for Sport Administration at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for over 13 years. She is also the Chair of the UNC Faculty Athletics Committee. In addition, she is the Director for The Center for Research in Intercollegiate Athletics for over 11 years. She is also a Research Consultant. She has consulted for Collegiate Sports Associates, Executive Search & Consulting, The Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics, and LEAD 1 Association.
She earned her Ph.D. in Sport Marketing & Management from Indiana University and an M.B.A. with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship from the University of Utah. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise & Sport Science from the University of Utah.
In this podcast episode, Dr. Weight discusses how her upbringing and her mother's guidance would shape the individual she would become. Dr. Weight has a drive, determination, and desire for growth in life that is truly remarkable. In this episode, she shares with listeners how she graduated high school at the age of 16 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree and master's degree by the age of 21.
